Breaking Up the Routine

Although kettlebells are awesome for strength building and fat burning, after a while it's my nature to get bored with things (except for my wife, of course). :-) So today I broke down and signed up with Gold's Gym. It's been quite a while since I did any kind of standard bodybuilding type workout, so it'll be interesting to see how things go. My wife has gone to Gold's with a friend on a guest pass a few times and really likes their "Body Pump" classes, so for our anniversary I thought I'd go ahead and get us a couple of memberships. Kettlebell effectiveness for football, wrestling, etc.

In the ad for the kettlebell training video it states that this is a great way to train for football, and other combat sports. How is it better than regular power cleans, deadlifts, squats and presses? This is what the majority feel is the best way of working the athlete to a maximum attempt in these lifts, thus overall strength gained. more »
