Posted on 6/20/2005 at 3:24AM in Kettlebell Routines.

I've heard that the limit for kettlebell reps should be 100 snatches. Is that 100 snatches per side or 50 per side for 100 total? 100 for each different exercise or total of all exercises? more »

Posted on 2/13/2005 at 8:15AM in Kettlebell Routines, Kettlebells for Women.

My wife asked what it was I do with kettlebells. I offered to demonstrate, and showed her Swings, Snatches, the Clean & Jerk, Windmills, and the Sidepress. I told her that Swings are a core movement, and suggested she give them a try. more »

Kettlebell exercises for abs?

Posted on 1/31/2005 at 3:29AM in Kettlebell Routines, Kettlebell Exercises, Six-Pack Abs.

Does anyone have ideas for killer kettlebell abdominal exercises? The pass through the legs seems to use the abs for stabilization, but seems to primarily work the back. more »

Need suggestions for routines

Posted on 1/29/2005 at 3:32AM in Kettlebell Routines.

With great anticipation I opened my Kettlebell tape and shoved it into my VCR. I was not disappointed. Your presentation and instruction are first rate. The thing is, I'm not sure how to structure a routine. more »

Posted on 1/27/2005 at 3:39AM in Kettlebell Routines.

I'm a reformed HITer. I used High Intensity Training style training in the past and have to admit that I did have a decent amount of success with it. How can I apply HIT protocols to kettlebell training? more »

Military press ladder routine questions

Posted on 12/27/2004 at 3:50AM in Kettlebell Routines.

I believe kettlebells are the best conditioning tool out there. Saturday and Sunday I did swings & snatches. I started out pretty easy because I didn't want to over do it. more »

Need help designing a kettlebell routine

Posted on 12/26/2004 at 3:52AM in Kettlebell Routines.

I just received my Russian Kettlebell Challenge video and have watched it twice already, but being a beginner I don't have a clue on how to proceed as far as a program or routine is concerned. (Although I have read a few posts about using ladders and that sounds like a good idea.) Also, I will probably use dumbbells at least for the time being. more »

Another kettlebell routine

Posted on 12/22/2004 at 4:02AM in Kettlebell Routines.

I'm currently doing one-arm snatches with the 24 kg kettle bell, 10-15 reps per hand, resting 30-40 seconds, and then hitting it again until I reach 100-120 reps total. For variety I'll try to reach higher straight numbers with the 16 kg kettle bell, like 30-40 for each hand. more »

Kettlebells and Bulletproof Abs

Posted on 12/17/2004 at 4:09AM in Kettlebell Routines.

My largest kettlebell is perfect for one-arm deadlifts as described in Bulletproof Abs. It's heavy enough to do the job and really works the grip, but is much easier to balance than a barbell and it really works the abdominal obliques. more »

Deadlift singles & kettlebell set/rep scheme?

Posted on 12/15/2004 at 4:13AM in Kettlebell Routines.

Does anyone do deadlift singles as a workout routine? I'm wondering if there are benefits to singles vs the conventional 5 reps or vice-versa. I've had some problems getting 5 good reps in the deadlift no matter what the weight, but I'm able to go heavy with good technique on singles. more »
